Machu Picchu 2D/1N

Your journey begins with a hotel pickup in Cusco at approximately 6:00 AM. You'll travel by private vehicle for about 2 hours (approximately 70 km) through the Sacred Valley, passing through towns like Chinchero and Urubamba, and reaching Ollantaytambo at an altitude of 2,792 meters (9,160 feet). Here, you'll board the Expedition or Vistadome train for a scenic 1.5-hour ride along the Urubamba River to Aguas Calientes, arriving around 11:00 AM. Upon arrival, you'll check into your hotel and have the afternoon free to explore the town or relax. In the evening, a briefing will be provided to prepare for the next day's visit to Machu Picchu.

After an early breakfast, you'll take a 30-minute bus ride to the entrance of Machu Picchu, located at 2,430 meters (7,970 feet). A professional guide will lead you on a 2 to 3-hour tour of the citadel, visiting key sites such as the Temple of the Sun, Intihuatana stone, and the Sacred Plaza. Following the tour, you'll have some free time to explore on your own. In the afternoon, you'll return to Aguas Calientes by bus and board your return train to Ollantaytambo. Upon arrival, a private vehicle will transfer you back to Cusco, arriving in the early evening to conclude your unforgettable journey.
