You should reach the summit around 4:00 AM to 6:00 AM, with breathtaking views of Arequipa city, the neighboring volcanoes Chachani and Pichu Pichu, and the expansive Andes. After spending 30 to 45 minutes soaking in the panorama and taking photos, you’ll descend back to high camp for breakfast and rest, arriving roughly between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM. Then, the trek down to the trailhead takes about 3 to 4 hours. You can expect to return to Arequipa by early to mid-afternoon (between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM).
