Q’eswachaka Inca Rope Bridge

Your journey begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Cusco between 4:00 AM and 4:30 AM. Departing the city, you'll head south through the picturesque Andean highlands, passing traditional villages and scenic landscapes.

After approximately 2 hours of travel (about 80 km), you'll arrive at the town of Cusipata, situated at an altitude of 3,310 meters (10,860 feet), where a traditional Andean breakfast awaits.

Continuing the journey, you'll explore the Four Lagoons Circuit, each offering unique natural beauty:

• Pomacanchi Lagoon: Located at 3,600 meters (11,811 feet), this is the largest of the four, known for its clear waters and surrounding eucalyptus forests.
• Acopia Lagoon: Famous for its mirror-like surface reflecting the sky and clouds.
• Asnaqocha Lagoon: A serene spot often enveloped in mist, providing a tranquil atmosphere.
• Pampamarca Lagoon: Surrounded by reddish earth and high grasslands, it's a habitat for various bird species.

After visiting the lagoons, the tour proceeds to the town of Yanaoca, where you'll have the opportunity to see the Pabellones Volcano, a small extinct volcano offering panoramic views of the surrounding highlands.

The journey continues to the Q’eswachaka Inca Rope Bridge, located in the Quehue district at an altitude of 3,700 meters (12,139 feet). This handwoven grass bridge spans 28 meters (92 feet) across the Apurímac River and is rebuilt annually by local communities using traditional Inca techniques.

Here, you'll learn about the bridge's construction and cultural significance, and if you choose, experience the thrill of crossing it.

Following the bridge visit, you'll return to Cusipata for a buffet lunch, featuring local Andean cuisine.

The return trip to Cusco begins in the early afternoon, with an estimated arrival time of 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM, depending on traffic and weather conditions.
